Sponsored by : Oh My Cod! British Cafe. Khao Sarn Road.
Meat n tater pie, chips, mushy peas, gravy, loads of salt n vinegar and two buttered slices of Warbies.
I don't think I can face another grain of bloody rice.

I was at Tony Romas earlier, steak and ribs... also got 10% discount from the lucky dip, wanted the free meal coupon though

I'm in England for a month, so chippy teas are one of the few positives. The only slight downside to tonight's purchase is that I'm buying for my gran and grandad- who refuse to eat from Chinese chippys!
So it's off to the English chippy instead.

I'm thinking of a green curry with thick cut chips!
I'll raise you beans on toast topped with cheese and brown sauce. I love Thai food, but after a year of it good ol' English stodge doesn't half hit the spot.
AO, that pizza's a bit too fancy for this thread- although it does look ace!
At my mate's for tea tonight: home made cheese n onion growler and thick cut jockey's whips. food

I very rarely make hamburgers but if I do, what makes a great sauce is if you mix some Greek yoghurt with some finely chopped fresh mint and spread it over the cooked beef patty. Give it a try sometime. The burger really comes alive!
Tonight? Me? I've done a nice chicken Korma with rice and naan bread.

Sounds great but what if I mix it in with the ground beef or pork that I normally use? Got kids and the burger cant change too much. In fact it sounds really good. It should work because I do grill them.
Oh your meal sounds great if you ever have the time both recipies would be appreciated. I shall give you back some nice ones in return.

Chop your fresh mint up and add it to the yoghurt and keep it as a side dish. The kids probably won't go for it but they needn't have any.
If I'm doing burgers, this is what I use;
500g minced beef
4 spring onions, finely chopped
A couple of tinned apricots roughly chopped (with as much of the syrup removed as possible beforehand) Peaches work but apricots are far better.
1 beaten egg
A tbsp of chopped mint.
Mix the minced beef, spring onion, mint and the apricot and bind together with the beaten egg.
Shape into burgers.
Grill under moderate heat for about 8-10 minutes on each side.
Serve on toasted hamburger buns with the Greek yogurt and mint sauce and potato wedges coated in sea salt.
