I know you looking to shift tickets etc but why not be a bit more subtle?
My mixing is 1st class and I put whatever I have (''passion'' is a bit stronger word to use, "effort" is a bit more better) into the night (after all, it's a paid job) and watching a DJ play music is hardly a "live" performace is it?
There is a difference.
Live performace by a DJ ? My arse. It's all pre-recorded vinyl or CD!!!

Hi Pat, I'm not trying to move tickets. I am not the promoter. I am a poor teacher who works 7 days a week for bits of the pie. I've never seen you perform, what kind of music do you play? Jelo does perform with passion. If you saw one of his shows you would know what I mean. Have you seen Donald Glaude live? Tell me Glaude has no passion too!! That youtube clip's alright, my lady started hopping around at least.
Do club/house etc. DJs actually create the music or just play it and
mess with the knobs a lot? This is something I've actually never known.
Is their genius basically in selection, new mixdowns, and sonically
manipulating the tracks? Or do they tend to actually program the beats
and basslines? Clue in the clueless. You see, I could write a book about
rap DJs of the 80s and 90s, guys who took the drum breaks from old
Kool and the Gang records and grabbed samples from here and there
and with two turntables kept the whole thing running on rotations.
But I've never really known anything about this kind of DJing.
So did Jelo make that beat or does he just play it.
This is something I've actually never known.

It's this plus being able to see how all the tracks fit together over an (1) hour's set and play them in such a way that the sum becomes more than the parts.
