    The Best Food With Beer

Was in the Costa Del Sol last month and had Tapas for the first time in years...Got me thinking, what cuisine works the best with a few beers. I think tapas works really well, then again I like a Laab Gai with a Singha too! Mexican is a fine choice also, probably a bit tough to eat and drink through a surgical mask though...what are your thoughts people?

I agree with Mexican food being a good match. MMM... nachos But then Ka mu yuang (grilled pork neck) and Singha is great. Don't forget a homemade cheeseburger and beer.

BBQ is the winner for me. Slabs of half burnt meat, a little salad, thrown into a bun and washed down with an icy lager. Heaven.

Most food goes well with beer, but it's a matter of matching (just like wine). For instance, Tsiang Tao is a great match for Chinese food. But my favorite beer food is this:

Ahi Poke - the right amount of salt and heat

There's only one thing to eat with beer. A good ploughman's lunch.

The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.

I've always thought beer goes well with food; unless of course you don't have any food. Then it's just good with itself.

and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these
will continue till they are resisted with either
words or blows, or with both.

I forgot tonight was taco night at the Berry house. For a Thai woman the wife does a great job with guacamole. She does call it larb avocado though! Anyway the tacos and such went great with beer.

Phil, as an American do I even want to know what Melton Mowbray pork pie is?

So, a man's been out ploughing the fields all damn day and he comes home to that?
No wonder the divorce rate is so high in the UK.
If that's a "good" ploughman's lunch, I'd hate to see a bad one.

Hold the ploughman's. I'll just have a beer, please.

Agree with the Ploughman's lunch or of course a Tiger beer with a Ruby Murray. That one looks minging though, why is there a big apple and a whole tomato on it?
    This is more like it.

Not dissing L, just as an American Melton Mobrat goes under the inscrutable category.

I'm going to try the ant eggs and pepper though.

can't believe brits actually like to eat that as a snack with beer, looks better for a picnic with wine and cheese. in the states, nachos with cheese, guacamole, refried bean and salsa is the best with beer, IMO.

in Thailand, this is good grub to eat with beer, IMO:

    thousand year old eggs:

also as others mentioned the pork neck is great with beer.

my other favs are snacking on a fried samlee fish with mango salad on top

    namprik with veggies

    issan sausage with peppers inside

    chiangmai sausage

    beef dat diow

    curried fish in banana leaf:

raw oysters with crunchy garlic on top
