I am a vegetarian visiting Bangkok, staying a whole month like to know where very cheap street food can be found late at night or throughout the day that doesn't have meat in it, i am ok with fish sauce, shrimp paste mixed around in my food, but no eggs. I am also looking for medium, to high quality Thai desert spots, have a look at my desired dishes, if you know of a place you'd like to recommend, I will go and visit, thanks.

Parts of Issan are kind of like a desert...no trees and all that...
Thong Lo area has a good street food market and it is quite accessible for foreigners. I'd imagine they have some of the items on your list...they definitely have sticky rice and mango.
Same all over Thailand really, Gold Rush. The oil and stuff can always be a bit suspect though. You seem pretty well informed already so you shouldn't have any problems.
Have a great time. Thais are pretty well aware of all sorts of eating disorders so don't worry.
So, you eat meat but avoid protein?
That's like not inhaling.
Sorry, but the reason we evolved from cavemen is that we started eating meat and our brains benefited from the protein.
Life in Nana and Soi Cowboy will be simpler when you stop the silliness.Originally Posted by Gold Rush

Oh, won't you please take me home?
Actually i don't prefer oyster, or shrimp sauce, etc.. but since it's near impossible to get food on the street without something mixed in, i am being flexible, and I get quite a lot of protien without eating meat, especially from tofu, and nuts, i also eat seeds, and i think it's overrated to say our brains evolved only from protien, it's more likely a combination effect, and i would also argue the reason we became such an aggressive race throughout history is because we eat meat, and especially because we eat blood. Why are vegetarians more peaceful, and calm as compared to carnivores? Also, in the animal kingdom, plant eaters are more peaceful than meat eaters.
I dunno--I was a vegetarian for years and pretty much felt and acted the same.
