So I have just a few days before I have to report in for school and I decided to hit a border town. I was told to experience the real Thailand you had to get out of Bangkok. I thought I should if I was going to teach here. I also wanted to see how bad the refugees have it. My motel is absolutely no help in activities. I want to know of any bars or (karaoke bars would be great) to go to at night. I will also need directions as I asked taxi driver last night to take me to one and got to a 7 eleven. Volunteer work in the day wouldn't be bad either. I would love to find some ladies as well to go with all the Viagra they sell here!
Please help asap! I came early to have some fun before I start and so far nothing!

rent a scooter and ride to Umpang and back. Stunning scenery. Around 1200 corners in less than 100k. Could do it as a day trip if you start early.
