True enough, but a certain amount of impact on the joints is good because it keeps them and the relevant bone regenerating.

I haven't put that very well, I know.

The key is to listen when your body is telling you it's had enough.

Re: Running For Beginners

If you're gonna do swimming, you gotta cover at least 15 lengths of the pool, not just splash around stopping halfway, you should do them non-stop if you can alternating between front crawl and breast stroke, equal numbers of lengths of each style.

If you're a little tired halfway thru, do a length on you back, relaxed.

Harbinger is on a distinguished road
Re: Running For Beginners

Above all be safe when you run.. vary your routes...Too many crazy people out there jealous of joggers..

Find a track.. I know.. don't like it. but if you're lucky to find a rubberized track.. excellent for the knees...you experience a bit of spring return..

First workout.. A mile easy.. walk warm down. 1 lap..
Next Workout Warm up... 880 warm up..easy.. Run the straighaways.. walk the turns, X2 .. Warm down lap.. extend your stride but at a comfortable pace..
Cheers..
