Looking for a place in BKK to go for Urology needs. I know Samitivej and Bumrungrad are considered quite good, but all I have is Bupa insurance and I know those are both quite expensive. Any thoughts or experiences?

Mission Hospital (Xtian...but don't let that put you off) near Rajatewi is good. I know for a fact that their heart specialist was poached by Bumholegrad.
We kept waiting
Still nothing changes
It's a shame
I recommend Phya Thai 2 (at BTS station Sanam Pao). It's a private hospital. Does BUPA have a list of approved hospitals from which to choose? I've used Bumrungrad for other services, and it isn't as expensive as you might think.
Urology is a very general topic. Care to more specific?

Dude, go to a university hospital and request one of the professors...It shouldn't be too difficult to find a competent urologist this way.

I might have to give that a try as well. I have let it go for far too long. Time to get to the bottom of it.................... as soon as I get back from Koh Chang![]()

Dr Viroj Chodchoy at Bumrungrad is brilliant, I cant recommend him enough. I saw him a few months back. I dont remember how much it was exactly, but it came to less than 1000 baht. Surely Bupa will cover that?

I was diagnosed with the same (prostatitis). Thonburi hospital is where I went for further diagnosis. It's private with very good care. There is a very good doctor there who knows his stuff. Have you had an ultrasound yet? Feel free to PM me if you like.
That's very good advice.
Capricious; by the way my doctor is a teaching doctor at a leading uni. English = excellent.

Very true, but when you have been dealing with the same issue for years it starts to just feel normal. Either way I will do my best to preserve my chances of procreation and extending life on this planet.
I've heard that name pop up several times now. I will probably make an appointment with him. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for all the information gents. Greens all around![]()

Just want to say that I ended up going to Bumrungrad and made an appointment with Dr. Viroj Chodchoy. Beautiful hospital and great service. After 6 years of dealing with the same issue, I got sorted out there in a few days. Viroj is going to be on the recieving end of a serious high five at my one month follow up.
^...he'd probably prefer cash...
