For the most part I'm healthy. The cholesterol level is a tad high, but no other health issues.
Over the last few years, however, I've been feeling the pain or repetitive motion disorder. It's not what you might think.![]()
My elbow has been giving me problems. It's strange because it's not in the joint. I can still play tennis fine. The pain comes when I use my computer mouse. The side of my elbow rubs on either the table or the mattress of my bed, depending on where I am using my computer. I have a computer table downstairs and a laptop which I place next to my bed so I can listen to the radio when I go to sleep.
Anyway, it got so bad that I now have to use my computer mouse with my left hand. It's like learning to walk again, but the pain has gotten much, much better. It's almost gone, in fact.
Anyone else affected by repetitive motion disorders?

Why are you assuming it's carpel tunnel Pan.
Could be a whole number of things.
Have you seen a doctor?
Maybe an old injury.

I've found placing a month old carp under my pillow works wonders.
I had that once, got it in the wrist from playing guitar 7 nights a week. Migrated from the wrist to the elbow, from the elbow to the shoulder. You need an arm rest. If it hurts when you spank it, try a reach around, left, then right.
It's not a spank it injury guys.I thought I made it clear.
Freeze dry the carp first. I made a mistake once and it was not pleasant.
Don't let it lock up whatever you do.
The carp will reward you as it did me.
If it's your elbow, it's not carpal tunnel syndrome. The carpal tunnel is a gap in the bone in your wrist where many of the nerves and veins run. Repetitive stress on the carpal tunnel causes impingement of the nerves and veins. The primary symptom of CTS is numbness in the fingers of your hand. I was diagnosed with CTS. I also had pain in my neck, shoulder and elbow. It was from my ergonomic set up at work. I bought a trackball mouse which made switching to the left hand easier, wore a night brace on my wrist, and did arm exercises. The CTS went away within a month.

Nice post and I agree but the pain is related to a repetitive behavior. More likely related to the rubbing of the elbow against a surface.
...was wondering about other cases, especially those related to the computer.
Yep, had carpal tunnel in my left (I'm right handed) wrist. I had pain and complete numbness through my wrist and the back of my hand for about 2 years.
How I fixed it..I took a six month vacation from computers. I went to Australia. It was either that or surgery and six months in Oz sounded more fun and cost me the same thing as the company I worked for decided it was a "pre-existing condition". I used to walk around the office with a sewing needle in the back of my hand.
The girl I was seeing in Oz said she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I always challenged her with a marshmellow in my mouth.
Those where the days.
I had undiagnosed carpal tunnel on the right arm back home...definitely due to the computer desk I was using...a tad too high. I am on the computer just about the same amount of time here in Thailand and no problem, and I think it's because my work station height is closer to ideal.
CTS gits me at times,,,,but it used 2 b a lot worse
jus started gittin betta on its own
my rite shoulder was botherin me a lot,,,like a pulled muscle
so I lowered my chair in front of da comp at the office
now my desk gives my arm more support wen I'm usin da mouse
its gittin betta ,,,,,,,,slowly
---Update---
me mate in Aus had micro surgery to fix his CTS
they went in between the knuckles
he's OK now
