Caffeine- the Good, the Bad and the Fugly

I'm having severe withdrawls from the black poison.

I am a five cup a day girl, percolated strong black with two sugars, decided to give it up as its supposed to leach calcium from your bones amongst other things but good pep up for me as I'm a tad hypo so caffeine does wonders for my functions.

Anyway, have had a splitting headache for a few days, feeling lethargic and I'm not as clear, resorted to Coke today may get back onto coffee but one cup is never enough for me. Worse than giving up alcohol or nicotine imo. I'd rather smoke tea than drink it so that's not an option.

Want to hear of anybody else who is hooked on coffee.

    Drink more tea
Daniel Bedingfield claimed that his new album is what it would sound like if Sting, Stevie Wonder and Micheal Jackson were in a basement together - I haven't got the album so I'll have to imagine the sound of a blind bloke and a Geordie kicking the shit out of a pedophile.

Caffeine destroys 4 out of the seven amino acids in the brain.... alcohol kills all 7

Maybe it was the sugar as much as the caffeine. I heard tea has more caffeine than coffee.

Had the same problem a few years ago, days of feeling like shit. By chance, it did stop my insatiable yearning for good coffee. Now, if I am at work, I have shit instant with school milk no sugar. On weekends I appreciate a well made espresso at the local cafe, I am not addicted like I used to be.

Why does the coffee in Lao taste so much better? Is it better beans, milk, or technique.....or a combination of all 3?

Tea contains tannin which is supposed to be good for you as an antioxidant, prefer red vino myself.

Anyway, caved in and had a cup of the strong black poison this morn.

Best coffee I have had anywhere would be the highlands of Viet Nam, second would be Laos coffee. I don't have sugar so I get the real coffee flavour.

I had a real addiction to coffee back in Canada.

Seven or eight cups of large Starbucks wasn't out of the ordinary.

Sometimes three at a single morning sitting.

This three in one crapola has pretty well settled my addiction.

    Two cups a day tops.

But I still need that morning fix.

Tea just don't do the trick.

There's been interesting studies done on how spiders weave their webs based on ingestion of various substances.

In terms of spiders anyway, caffeine seems to cause the most distortion.
When being run out of town, get in front of the crowd and make it appear like a parade.
