brand new 5 bedroom house in Bangkok Taling Chan district. Short, holiday lets 3k/week or 10k/month - no minimum stay. Air condition, fan, wifi.

Suit family with children and animals as the place is spacious and secure.

A much better option of staying in Bangkok than the town centre, with
it's noise, pollution, traffic jams and crowds of tourists. In a Taling
Chan home-stay you will immerse yourself in a traditional lifestyle and
learn a little bit about Thai culture and customs. Walks through the
fruit orchards and flower groves make a very challenging experience.

It's by Thanon Wongwan Rob Nok and by the Klong Bang Tan - 5 minutes
drive to Southern Bus Terminal (towards Kanchanaburi, Cha Am, Hua Hin,
Phuket, Krabi and Malaysia) on Thonburi & 15 minutes to Chao Phraya
River, Khaosan Rd, the Old King's Palace & the Wat Pho. There is also a
frequent bus 556 to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Around are traditional houses with orchards, gardens, peace and clean
air.

You can feel here like living in the traditional thai willage - yet 5
minutes walk is 7/11 shop, cash machine and a daily street market. A
short ride there is a famous traditional thai floating market in Taling
Chan by the Chakphra Canal.

There are several nice homestays in that area - old thai teak wood
houses on stilts just overlooking slowly moving canals. You are in the
middle of verdant and vast, lush gardens.

(it's on the west border of Taling Chan district with a newly formed
Thawi Wattana, and a few hundred yards south of amphoe Bank Kruai,
already in Nonthaburi province).

The location is here 1:5000 - you might see larger ones if you don't
recognise this area. The home is 80 meters south of the red circle on
the first map - by the canal.

If you are coming by taxi just stop immediately after the klong Bang
Tan, go down over a small wooden steps to the canal and walk along the
concrete path by the canal 150 metres - almost to the end of this path.
If you are coming by car pass the canal and park on soi Muban Chuangchun
Park Villa - you will have to walk back about 150 metres.

You have advertised this before over a year ago. If its all he says then its also a steal. Whose in that area. Can it be rented long term?

that's another house - the other was 3br, upper floor teakwood http://ajarnforum.net/vb/showthread.php?t=13739 (now rented till march 2008).

They are detached but next to each other on a very small village-like estate of 8 houses surrounded by the walls of the posh housing estate the next door.

the 5br can be rented long term and below 10k/month.

it's a very basic 100 m2 thai style house, but clean and brand new, for the budget traveller or teacher-type expat. Because it was only very recently build still some additional work and gradual improvements will be carried out for the next many months, according to the preferences of guests.

It has now only 1 air conditioner, which should be not a problem till early spring.

The drawback of this house is that the parking space is some 200m away (house accesible only by motorbike). Advantage of this house of the other similar, is that it can be rented for even short periods, as a bridge accommodation between moving from one place to the other or for those planning to travel through asia with Bangkok as a base.

How the hell do you get 5 bedrooms into 100m2??? do you mean 1000 m2?

it's a very small house with 3 double and 2 single (for kids). Thousand sq meter would more of a palace and around 100k and not 10k/month - you get what you pay.

Well if we take 100m2, lets say thats 20m2 per room..which is bloody small, then we need to fit in a kitchen, living room, dinning room and at least 3 bathrooms for a 5 bed house.......eh? 100m2 is 2 rooms at the VERY most, the rooms most be 10m2 are something. A decent price none the less but too many rooms in such a tiny place imo

It can sleep 5 not it has 5 bedrooms that is impossible.

3 double and 2 single would imply that he means 5 bedrooms though O_o so with all the sleeping areas used.... 8 people in a 100m2 house.........that would be fun lol

25 sqm studio apartments rent for as much as 20k in the neighborhood I live in.

100 sqm isn't small at all. A typical bedroom would be smaller than 20 sqm I think and a master bedroom a bit bigger.

That would be central bangkok hamster, and how can you say 100m2 isn't small for a 5 bedroom HOUSE?

A house has bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, sitting room, dinning room, each room most be fkin tiny

And 1000M2 isn't THAT big, i've been looking at a 5 bed house on thong lor that is 500M2, quarter of the size I know but it wasn't that big really.

Just think if it sleeps 5 people say that, don't say that it has 5 bedrooms

ban saray stayed there already for 2 nights (came with a few days delay and had to move on to Khorat for the rest of his holidays) - 4 adults + 8 kids. They all did enjoy their stay, as I am told by himself, in a reasonable comfort.

The hause was rented so far to parties of 1 or 2 pax, 12 pax is a record.

When I have re-designed the house I was thinking more of a Hong Kong, tiny-style bedrooms but at least giving some privacy to the guests - rather than thai one bedroom spaces for the whole family, as the local builder designed it. Still, all roms have large windows and are bright. Estate agents call that kind of houses 'funtional' - they do the job for the small families on the budget. As to size - it's slightly larger than 100 m2, I rounded it down.

So how many rooms does it have? bedrooms bathrooms dinning and kitchen etc? also the size of the rooms? Honestly in 100M2 how many people can you expect to sleep?
