Gonna be looking for a 1 bed / studio place around Ratchada around July. Anybody got ant hot tips that aren't on room finder? Would rather spend under 10k for a nice studio, but am willing to go slightly higher for a decent 1br if I can find one. Would consider pracha-uthit, ekamai (Petchburi Rd end), thong lor(petchburi rd end), soonvijai too but ratchada would be better.
Cheers,

I looked at that place a few months ago. But it doesn't look anything like the pictures. Location is okay but the room they showed me was just awful. I even took some pics. Will post them later if I can dig them up.
soonvijai condos are ok. next to the new airport link station right beside petchburi.
1 bed rooms are 13-16k

I can imagine sitting down heavily at that table, and a hundred things all rattling and shaking to the very core of their delicate foundations.Originally Posted by process
Why do so many apartments just have no character or imagination whatsoever? It's OK but it could never be a home.
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
No, not a home for sure - but when i stayed there (4 years+ ago) it was ok - temporary digs instead of paying 1000 a night for a hotel
1 it was close to my TEFL course & in a good location
2 the price wasn't that bad
I'm sure it's fine for that purpose, but I'm more picky. basically it's not pretty enough for me! Romfinder has come up with these 3 though which look good : City Living on ratchada 10k for 50sqm studio inc kitchen, Supalai city home on ratchada soi 10 has a few privately owned condos from 9-15k, and there's Grand Park Town on Pracha-uthit for 7,500 which looks lovely and new. These all seem to be worth taking a look at. Just thought other people living in that area might know of other choices.
i live near there.
150 sqm for 11k.....none for rent now though
which one was that? that's a shame.
Supalai --- I nearly checked the place out but the guy who owns it doesn't live in BKK. They look nice enough though, just couldn't see the place.Originally Posted by DXBgoddess
City Home -- it's where I live now. Nice enough place with a kitchen sink (never thought that would be a luxury!).
Grand Park -- I stopped by this place. I'm sure some of the places are nice but the ones they showed me were terrible. One claimed to be a 1 bedroom --- what they had done is built a divider in the middle of the room (which looked shite) and called it a 1 bedroom.
