The Expat Woman's Guide to Living in Bangkok

I got an email a while back from a lady called Amy. When she was a single female residing in Bkk, she got frustrated at the lack of advice and interaction on the web for women, and found most of the Thailand related sites geared up cater for us blokes!

Anyway, she’s written an eBook called The Expat Woman's Guide to Living in Bangkok which seems to cover a lot of things the lone female would need to know after arriving in the big city for the first time, including home hunting.

An independent review has been submitted to Roomfinder’s blog on her book, so if you’re female and would like to have a gander, please visit that page here. Or maybe you’re a curious male would like to know more about all things Thailand from a woman’s perspective.

Amy also has a blog where updates to the book are posted.

This eBook is not totally free though as she is asking $9.97 USD for a complete copy, but I would assume that would be money well spent for someone hungry for lots of useful tips and bits of advice on living in Thailand. It's all neatly packaged into a single guide too. Oh, and before you eager beavers start accusing me of plugging a product that I’ll be monetizing from by way of affiliate commissions, I’ll tell you now, I’m not making a brass tack from it, so don’t start!!!

Ok, take what you want from this book review or ignore this post completely, but I though it worth mentioning as expat women living in Thailand do seem to be a bit neglected on the whole.

Cheers

Aitch

I'm bringing out a guide called "A Sweaty Impatient Fat Cracker's Guide To The Tropics".

Should retail at 500 baht. Published by Asia Books.

Watch this space.

It’s true, and sometimes by offering a free product, if marketed in the right way, it may have spin-offs than enables the freebie to be monetised in other ways. However, not everyone has an entrepreneurial streak in them though, and some folks prefer to try their hand at a single focused project.

I would assume a lot of time and thought went into Amy’s book, and because it’s an unfinished product (constantly being updated), I don’t think the asking price is unreasonable if the content is useful and accurate to the reader.

If I was planning to be in BKK (and not in the Isaan) I'd be buying it ..however it looks like her blog has allot of good resources ..... i'm adding it to the AM coffee blog read for the next few months...
