Hi!
Any recommendations for condos/apartments in the area between Bangkok University and BTS (On Nut, Phrakhanong or Ekkamai). Price should be somewhere around 10,000 THB / month.

You can check out "Happy Place Tower" on Sukumvit 71 Pridi soi 2 in Prakanong. They have studio condos with a small kitchen starting at 6,500 baht a month. They have larger ones as well, but not exactly sure how much those are.
Try that tall, drab, funny looking building called Winning Tower, if you are travelling up 71 from the BTS, it's on the right hand side. You can't miss it.
It's unique with it's variety of sizes and odd apartment layouts at decent rental rates.
But do beware - various farangs living there are in different mental states.
For a real budget treat you could try Nasa Vegas condo, but after a few drinks, passing trains are a hazard.
Nice area though, canal, bus & train services all nearby to whisk you almost anywhere.
Oh, and not to mention the airport skytrain station coming soon.
P.S. And Foodland up the road.
Are you taking the piss ? I've always found it to be one of Bangkok's more miserable areas, especially the area around Nasa Vegas.Originally Posted by DJ Pat

I never claimed it wasn't miserable but neither did I claim it was Beverly hills.
DJ are you a filipino, many live in that region?
You said it was a nice area, due to its transport links. I think it's a dump. Blue plastic piping shops, cheap shoe shops, karaoke bars with fairy lights, etc. None of the down-at-heel ambiance of, say, Saphan Kwai, and certainly nowhere near the big city pretensions of somewhere like Ekkamai.Originally Posted by DJ Pat
