list of pet friendly apartments in BKK (near BTS)

The search function on Mr.roomfinder doesn't let you search for apartments based upon which allow pets. I am moving to Thailand and am trying to narrow my search to places that takes dogs (2 small ones about 25 lbs each). Anyone know some places that allow pets? Thanks for any help.

    Hello jrciii.

You're right, that feature is missing from the site, although there is an area under the Features & Facilities section where there is a ' Pets Allowed' check box.

I was wondering if it was worth adding a 'Pets Allowed' search option on a future update? I have personally never known anyone in Bangkok with cats and dogs, but there are probably more pet owners around than one might think. If they are indeed a rare breed, it would be an unnecessary feature to add if there were only say 3 people using it a year.

Any feedback from the forum on whether such a feature would be useful or not would be appreciated. Don't forget though, you can overdo a search function. Just imagine, if there were too many options, we'd all be searching for the perfect home in the perfect location at the perfect price, with bags of space, free WIFI, Cable TV, and a maid to boot, and the result of such heavenly accommodation would invariably result in 'No Results Found' every time.

We moved out nearly 2 years ago and couldn't find any apartments which would allow dogs, so we ended up with a house with a small garden (which I reckon is vital for pooches anyway) and now live here very happilly with our 2 dogs.

I think wildchris is right jrciii in saying a house is a preferred option for owners of dogs in particular, and probably cats too.

I don't personally know of any apartment of condo building that allow pets which potentially make more noise than a tropical fish It's to protect the other residents from possible issues with noise and smells.

There will be some places that allow pets, but they are the exception rather than the rule. Just in case you think this is a raw deal, the same applies for babies. Many condo and apartment buildings (but not all), do not allow people to move in with new screaming babies for similar reasons given for barking dogs and wailing cats!

Sorry, i know that's not very helpful, but is factual nonetheless

Yeah, if you looked for a small townhouse or similar on the MRT line rather than BTS you'd probably find something reasonably priced.

Look for a townhouse. You get two floors, and a small yard/ carpark. Several a month show up here. Say 7 - 12 or 14 thousand baht a month. Some come furnished as well.

Couple of apartments near me allow small dogs!!! And that's just in the small area where I live

So it is doable, although a house will be the easier option...albeit you'll probably need to rent for at least 6 months to a year though as per usual!!

^^ Don't you think JL is being a bit rude calling him a dickhead though???
