Just had a phone interview with St Johns from USA. Need to look at the financials as it could be a stretch with the salary offered.
What price range and options would I be looking at for an apartment near this school for a couple with a 2 year old? We don't need 5 star, but not a shoe box either! Something decent and relatively modern in a decent and safe area that is capable of internet access.
And we would be living the "Thai" way, so an area that has eating options to support this, and with good transport options.
Between 10k and 20k... near the school, for what you want. You could spend a hell of a lot more as well.

But remember here that small is small. A 2 bedroom can easily be say 55 or 60 sq meters. Thats 550 to 600 sq feet which is quite small. The kitchens tend to very small as well. Its a crowded area but has all you could ever want very close at hand.

I was wondering about that myself. Guess he means he is going to eat a lot of rice, and use a squatter for a toilet.
Thanks everyone for your answers. Yes I will ask for recommendations from other staff. And if I do take the job, they put us up in a hotel for the 1st weeks orientation so would be a good time to look around personally. But would like to get an idea before hand to help with my decision.
