Btw, rats are classed as vermin not as pets.
Norwegian Rats ie domestic rats are pets.
Different race nothing to do with it, like dogs and wolves.
Vermine brings diseases, Poupoune's ancestors are by billions totured in labs so we get cancer, aids, and every disease cured. Their bigger cousins help saving Africa thru association like APOPO detecting mines and stopping TB.
Norwegian rats save many lives on a daily basis, so its only fair that one out of billions get to be cared for as a any other PET.

No problem, the most difficult part remains the airline : when it comes to sell you a ticket, everything is fine, rats are no problem, a note is put on the file but when checking in, there is no record of anything and you have to remind them that you especially decided to take this airline BECAUSE they had agree on your rat. If anything get names of the sale person that sold you the ticket to back you up.
Once you passed checking everything is cool.
