Thread: Condo in Silom/Lumphini - advice please!!

Hello all!

I've been trawling through ad after ad looking for a studio or 1 bed apartment in the Silom/Lumphini area and my head is about to explode! Does anyone have any recommendations??

Close to the BTS or MRT and preferably no more than 10,000B per month but I can stretch to more.

Any advice much appreciated!!

I can think of three places offhand...One is on Sarasin, right next to Langsuan, directly across from Lumpini Park. It's set back down a little driveway, but if you walk past Langsuan heading towards Rajadamri you can't miss it. It's the first right, I think, and there's a sign out front. Studios are 8,200 (I was told recently) plus wi-fi 400 extra..

On Sathorn Soi 1, where it intersects with Ngam Dupli (first right after the Malaysia Hotel, I think) there is a place with one bedrooms for 10,000...There's a sign out front advertising rooms to rent. You have to install your own internet and cable, if you want it, but utilities are billed directly to you.

The old standby is Rama 4 City Court in Bon Kai. Studios (around 32 square meters) go for 5,000, internet, etc. extra. This is where all the poor people live, so you're guaranteed to have interesting neighbors. This was also the epicenter of the Red Shirt riots.
