The Burmese' fate is tied directly to China's permanent seat at the UN Security Counsel. Pretty sad really as no one is going to help the Burmese but the Burmese themselves.

Do you truly think her death would go unnoticed throughout Asia?
She won't die. The police will come and get her and force-feed her.

As Palestine's fate is tied directly to the US's permanent seat.
About time we all did something about freeing those Security Council seats up.
It's become a farce of Wagnerian proportions.
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.

Not too far off. I guess she's not on a hunger strike...The junta says so.

    Great point.
    _______

The US was quick to pull all aid to Thailand after the coup. They said they wouldn't support such an undemocratic action. Where the fuck are they when Thailand turns a blind eye to the junta and its atrocities? What would happen if the US and GB revoked all its aid to Thailand?

Yes, hard to see a winner from this apart from the SLORC.

I'm sure they must be, well, not exactly 'rattled' by the prospect of Aun San not being around any more.
