These car bomb attempts have been quite in fashion with Muslims in the UK for some time now.

These are so easy to pull off, with some creativity and patience. Being suicidal helps also.

Hell, it aint rocket science. What are they teaching these boys nowadays in northwest Pakistan?

If I was a Haji desperate for hell and glory in some flea-bitten, in-bred mountain village, I'd just prep a triggering device, shoot a propane (any volatile, ignitable load) truck driver, and wheel my way as far into an urban center, or congested traffic, as I could.

Little bastards are stuck on stupid, with these symbolic targets tho', aren't they?

So, apparently there's a shortage of Muslims willing to think outside the sand box, or die in the attack, preferring to giggle under their blanket on the plane back to Dubai.

Not going to make life any easier on the Muslim community in America.

    Not at all.
When being run out of town, get in front of the crowd and make it appear like a parade.

    ^ No, Not after this:
"Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old Pakistan-born US citizen, is due to appear at a court in Manhattan later to face charges relating to the attack."

I've always questioned why Muslims in the states haven't been more proactive in suicide bombings, attempted bombings, and plots as they are in the UK and other European countries -- the USA being the ''Great Satan'' and all. I believe only France, amongst western countries has a higher Muslim population than the US (2.5 million).

They certainly have more freedom of movement, are not as conspicuous in a multi-ethnic country, and have access to just about anything that a mass murderer would need to pull it off.

Maybe we lack the cherished segregated ethnic enclave breeding grounds (which might as well be walled off) that Brits and Europeans have. Just don't know. Even itty-bitty Canada with it's plethora of PC legislation and foot washing organizations, are plotted against.

Maybe it's because we have better, more accessible Ray-ban sunglasses, blue-tooth audio devices, and beard grooming tools?

Just looking at the Times Square Bomber, you fukcing know, suicide wasn't in his plans. The boy's a player. Yeah, he probably had that goofy 7-11/Motel 6 accent, but he must have seemed quite impressive to all the new immigrant girls from the old country.

Probably still be fiddling with his IPOD, and eyeing the burkha babes at the local Paki coffee house in Connecticut, if the clerics hadn't gotten to him. He'd have gone back to the dark side of his inner infidel, later in life. You can just tell by his pic.

Oh, Paki, how convenient, now America will back our bombing then into the stone age. Maybe they need a new PM as well. Someone more democratic .. who likes Wal*Mart and Dairy Queen.

Just shows how incompetent the other combatants in this war are. Heck, most of the fatalities on our side are from friendly fire.

No, they're restricted to the border. If whomever they're bombing relocates inland we'll (they'll) have to keep on doing it. The more whomever they're bombing defuses into the civilian communities the more collateral damage (don't ya just love that euphemism?) done.

Dude, we are not willing to do what it takes to eliminate our enemies, so we should just stay home. This administration, surprisingly, is willing to increase drone attacks, but the last one went hell fire in the wrong direction.

'The perpetrator was of Pakistani descent but it is not known what his motivations were'.

That US drones are dropping bombs on Pakistanis daily perchance?

Yes, surely this noble lad was simply a freedom fighter, angered at terrorists being targeted, and decided to blow up a street full of civilians to show his displeasure.

Then again, he could be resentful that he never picked up English, and was stuck repeating in that sing-song lilt,
'can i help you my friend?'
    'how much you normally pay?
'where u wanting to go? '
'my brother do it cheap for you!', whether at the grocers or the dentist.

Motivation: The car was parked in front of Viacom, which owns Comedy Central, which airs South Park, which made fun of the Prophet 'yourmomma,' who has very little tolerance and absolutely no sense of humor...

Security slip let suspect on plane, near takeoff

WASHINGTON – The no-fly list failed to keep the Times Square suspect off the plane. Faisal Shahzad had boarded a jetliner bound for the United Arab Emirates Monday night before federal authorities pulled him back.

The night's events, gradually coming to light, underscored the flaws in the nation's aviation security system, which despite its technologies, lists and information sharing, often comes down to someone making a right call.

As federal agents closed in, Faisal Shahzad was aboard Emirates Flight 202. He reserved a ticket on the way to John F. Kennedy International Airport, paid cash on arrival and walked through security without being stopped. By the time Customs and Border Protection officials spotted Shahzad's name on the passenger list and recognized him as the bombing suspect they were looking for, he was in his seat and the plane was preparing to leave the gate.

But it didn't. At the last minute, the pilot was notified, the jetliner's door was opened and Shahzad was taken into custody.

After authorities pulled Shahzad off the plane, he admitted he was behind the crude Times Square car bomb, officials said. He also claimed to have been trained at a terror camp in Pakistan's lawless tribal region of Waziristan, according to court documents. That raised increased concern that the bombing was an international terror plot.
