Sir Paul McCartney forgets Hey Jude lyrics

Sir Paul McCartney forgets the lyrics to 'Hey Jude'. The Beatles musician has been singing the 1968 single for over 40 years, but although he sometimes forgets the words, says crowds don't mind.
He said: ''It's funny. I sometimes forget those. It's a devilish lyric. I occasionally do forget them. But the great thing is, I used to panic about that, but I realize now that the audiences don't mind.
''In fact, they quite like it. They're at the show where I forgot the words, and it makes that show special.''
Paul is playing at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic games this Friday (27.07.12) and although he's not particularly nervous, hopes he doesn't make any mistakes on stage.
He joked to ShortList magazine: ''Generally I don't [get nervous]. But having said that, you never quite know. You can do something such as the Jubilee or the Olympics and get the old collywobbles.
''Oh God, that'd be good, wouldn't it? Make a mistake at the Olympics. 'Hi there. Listen, welcome to Britain. I just wanted to stop the song, just for a minute. We'll start again.'''
An inevitable consequence of the aging process..........

    Sir Who?
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with toast.

One of them, however, is opening a can of corned beef with that stupid key. This cannot easily be done at the best of times, and toast is of surprisingly little use in resolving the issue.

No song in the world affects me like this one. Proust talks about how certain sounds or scents can instantly transport you into the past. Hey Jude does that. A single note of that song and I'm sitting on the deck of a chopper, feet dangling out the door, zipping over the Vietnamese countryside. The door gunner rigged up a loud speaker and was playing "Hey Jude." My best memory of that gruesome time.

I don't know all the lyrics but I sure remember the feeling. Love love love.

I can see how that would provide a fond memory.

    I have many fond memories.

Co-coincided with one of my earlies romantic endeavors.

^^ ^ I hate the song myself. My fondest memories from the era where probably Hendrix, Buffalo Springfield, The Young Rascals, Dylan. Cluz, olfactory is supozed to be #1 for recall.

Yep - patchouly oil brings me back to Telegraph Ave. Whenever the present fails to deliver, I take a whiff of the past.

You won't get it from me--are there any old posts of yours about the war? Seriously, I'd love to hear any and every story you have to tell.

Paul is sure showing his age...physically and mentally (long-term memory loss). I miss John.

Hey Jude was definitely not one of my fave Beatle's tunes.

John Lennon was one of the biggest cunts in human history. Singing about having no possessions while living in one of the most expensive buildings in NYC. Fucking champagne socialist trash--the world is better off without him.

^ Did Lennon molest you or something? He was no more hypocritical than the average champagne socialist.

He can't sing any more and should give it up. But people are too polite to tell him to his face..

Really? I had no idea! He stated his old preference and I stated mine. And you saw it as if I were correcting him. Brilliant!
