I've been saying for years that the hidden costs of policies adopted by many western nations vis-a-vis immigration will be our ruination.

It's an issue.

As far as that particular incident.......it's a hard one to comment on.

The police are examining text messages sent before the violence in Hyde Park. It seems there was a rally organized for Sunday which was cancelled and preempted on the Saturday. It caught the police flat footed and this may have had something to do with the quality of how the protest was policed.

"I say this to those in that community who have come out here with little or no intention of integrating themselves, who have no desire to assimilate, who preach hatred and violence - you are not welcome," she said.
"As the daughter of migrants to this country, I say to you, accept our laws, respect them and make the most of the opportunities this country can give you. If you don't want to do this, it's time to go back from where you came from."
Senator Fierravanti-Wells said that was the view of millions of Australians who made up a "silent majority".
"We should not be afraid to say it publicly and openly," she said.

The vast majority of Australian Muslims wouldn't be supporting this guy.

It does raise very serious questions about various departments of government and their intercommunication.

We have some of the same issues here.....

Government departments through an almost natural process will always try to put fat around their stomachs.

This phenomenon always creates a system where, at some level, nobody is able to be pinned down as being responsible.

How can a guy be kicked out of the country three times and end up collecting welfare?

Don't these government departments have fucking computers

For Christ's sake - or Mohammed's or Buddha's, for that matter - is that really the sort of light in which you galahs who decided to run amok on the weekend want your particular faith viewed?

What on Earth did you think you were going to achieve by confronting a few hundred police about a gripe that has nothing to do with most of us here?

What is to be achieved by appalling 22 million fellow Australians who believe, regardless of your case, the best solution is not throwing blunt objects at people in uniform who are just trying to keep the peace rather than hurt you?

For those of you who may have fled foreign climes, we're trying to befriend you, not persecute you here, which is why I suspect you came in the first place.

So don't bugger it up for everyone else by being stupid.
