Beutiful shots again. I love the water village. I've never been to that area, only to Kan for a couple of nights. I'd love to go there now based on your reports.
Once again, great shots of obviously a great holiday

Rogerman, thanks for the reply.
This lake is more a holiday place for families compared with the other lake. For example. When you look at the first picture, you can see three umbrellas. Behind them is a 4 x 7 m metal cage with a maximum height of 1.2 metre sunken in the water for children (and for me too) to swim safely. Everywhere you can find life jackets, kanoes, boards and pedal boats.
It's about 20 km north of the Erawan waterfall and 35 km south of Si Sawat.

Depending on the time of the year between 3,000 and 3,500 THB per boat (two independant rooms). Each room has a small outdoor deck with two chairs, inside it has A/C, tv, make-up table, refrigerator and hot water. A little bit oldish though, you know the Thai's interpretation of maintenance .
They don't have a website.

After staying for two days at the Lake of Si Sawet we drove more south. We just wanted to drive a little bit at the country side.
At a certain moment we saw a beautiful brandnew tarmac road. Complete with lines, black and white poles, electricity poles and ....... a sign Thai/Myanmar border. We became curious and followed the road.
After a couple of kilometres the tarmac stopped but the road still was good to drive:
Following the road, the tarmac started again until................... Yep, a real dead-end road!
We drove a couple of hundred metres back and drove in 4WD 4L up the hill and found the Thai Border Patrol at the Thai/Myanmar border and a beautiful view into Myanmar:
The sign at the Thai/Myanmar boarder taken from Myanmar:
I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

How did you know that? Several troops came out and pictures were taken from them together with us. They indeed don't see foreigners that often. They have to stay there for one month and then they are on leave for a couple of days.
My wife gave them some beer and food we had in the car. That gesture was really appriciated.
