I started off in New York. Was so excited. Had an amazing week.
Left my camera in the back of a cab on my last night. Tons of great pics and vids, gone. Bought a new camera in Chicago. Let's start there:
I only spent 1.5 days in Chicago. I was pissed off cos of the loss of my Canon G5 and all the photos/vids. So I thought, fuck this, I'm off to California! San Francisco was bathed in sunshine for my entire week there. Wonderful:

I then took a bus down to L.A after having a smashing time. Walking all the way to the golden Gate Bridge from Union Square (and then across it) was one of the best days of my life.
Anyway, my compact flash card was getting pretty full, so until I bought a new laptop, I had to shoot sparingly.
I hired a big yellow Mustang and cruised around looking for action, though having a numberplate with POO in it aint cool.
I didn't have the biggest ride on the block. This was outside the hostel where I stayed. Santa Monica 3rd street. 5 mins to the beach.
Didn't stay there every night though....long story

OMG - Jinky's. Just the best place to eat breakfast in all of L.A. This is their second store, opened about 5 years ago in SaMo. I've been to the original in Sherman Oaks hundreds of times. It's where all the music industry people hang out. In addition to great breakfast, they make several kick-ass chili specials every day.
BTW - did you get to any of the English pubs in SaMo, like Ye Ol' King's Head?
Damn, you visited every place I ever lived: L.A., San Francisco, Hawaii. The only one you missed was Vegas. The last Hawaii pic looks like Kailua beach, but it might be further up the windward coast.
Thanks for the pic report, but I'm still not homesick.

Here's Will. Nice bloke. He said yes to my offer of bombing 'round the island in my hire car.
Don't quite know what this pose means. I think I'm trying to look pained by the decision of where to go next or something.
Here's the father of modern surfing. What's his name? Can't remember.
I made my play out there in them waves.
Was utter shit at surfing, even with a 58m board. Mind you, I cheaply tried to listen in on other peeps' lessons, which didn't help.
Loads of Japs on honeymoon in Waikiki. Lovely at night with the torches lit though.
I worked in waikiki for about 8 months just before i moved to thailand. loved that place. surfed everyday at the break that is really far off the beach, in front of the sheraton. i worked there and the halikulani, had a room at the halikulani, and would finish what i was doing grab my board and be on a wave 25 minutes later. long paddle out, got really honed.
