Just got back about 3 weeks ago. Spent a week. Still waiting for you to PM me the name and directions for the rustic hotel on a creek.

Take care!

From where I live. This area is about the nicest and closest. I wouldn't touch the Gulf of Thailand above Ko Samet. Nice in Jantaburi.

Inside the Church of the Immaculate Conception. (As I recall.)

Sorry about that. Been a bit crazy...no kidding.

Great pics, by the way. Chantaburi is on the short list of (longer term) BKK escapes one day for sure.

No Problem. Just took a cheap shot.

But since I do get over there a few times a year. Do send it sometime. I even promise not to tell Lonely Planet, which thankfully doesn't have a high opinion of the place except as an emergency stop over on the way to the Cambo border via Trat and Had Lek.

(Where I have also spent a few days. But that is another story.)

I went there to look at the EP programs. Not bad. The pay was 30k in each. Nice well behaved kids. Good staff. Lots of cheap fruit and vegetables. A Robinson' s department store.

Houses with a few bedrooms in the burbs for about 5-6k. Seemed like an OK life especially if you what to be closer to nature.

One real ass kicking club across from the lake and it rocked.
