Fishing for KIMCHI!!
I know that MrStretchy casts a line now and then (when in Korea; that is)....does anyone else know of any decent fishing holes??
------
I think I'll try this place out soon:
3 options! Ocean, fly-casting and reservoir!!
::: Welcome to visit Samcheok-si Homepage :::
----
When I have more time, I think I'll head down off Stretchy's stompin' grounds and try this place:
Chuja-Do

Re: Fishing for KIMCHI!!
Bro, look at the weather suit on that guy in the first picture...looks fekkin' cold.
I need to get some fly fishing gear...haven't seen any yet.
The problem with reservoir fishing is that I think it's mostly Korean carp. Nice fish...but...
Will probably also buy a car before winter (less than 2M) that will open up fishing horizons for me.

Re: Fishing for KIMCHI!!
i've been fishing from here recently,
five minutes walk from my house...landing a few small bass, whiting, dabs. all good fun. preparing for the cod season; looking forward to thee storms, howling gales and pitch darkness - perfect cod weather!

Sokcho is a big fishing town near Seoraksan.
Chuncheon city has many waterways for fishing.

Re: Fishing for KIMCHI!!
Thanks PB.
It's fair to say I've been all over this peninsula (starting with hitching to Sorak from Daejon in 96')
Was hoping for someone with specifics,.....but sometimes the search is as fun as the find.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but as you say, just fish around, as Korea is surrounded by water. haha. Happy fishing.
