...government scales in Saudi start with your last degree: a BA+3 (years of teaching experience) earns more than an MA +1...no separate scale for an MA...
...it doesn't...all recruits begin anew...no history, no future...
Sounds bleak....
Looking forward to it!!![]()
All Saudi hands that I know say that employers look first for people who've worked in Saudi before - because it's like nowhere else.
Oh right. So Gulf experience is preferred.
I wouldn’t mind going back if it was direct hire, and definitely not through a recruiting agency.
...that would be wise...
I had enought of that crap the last time for I only stayed 9 days.
...right...you should try all the varieties of crap Saudi has to offer...
No I don’t think so the last time was enough for me. When I first went there in 1979 it was good there were no recruiters around, and I enjoyed it that much that I stayed for 5 years. The last time 5 minutes Ha Ha.![]()
I've just been offered a tentative job in Saudi Arabia through ChemInternational in California. I've been teaching Vietnam for nine years and need to try something else and save some money. What's the lifestyle like? How much can I save on a monthly salary of $3500USD plus accomodation, rtc. Are there any execise facilities. I don't drink much and I have a book I want to finish writing. Should I accept?
