NO disconnect...perhaps my way of thinking or my outlook on what is interesting differs from your own.....

...no need to respond to ol' wobbly cy, jont......the poor thing has only recently crept away from a particularly odious landfill...
...majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd...

    Yeah - I'd say so.

Always amuses me how many people find it hard to admit they work for money.

Good luck pursuing your cultural interests in Kuwait.

I never said that my cultural interests were about Kuwait..I said that my friend said it was a great place to save money..my cultural interests were more about Thailand..sorry that you interpreted this wrong ..but after your statements I would imagine that you dont care if you are wrong or not as long as you get to say whatever you need to say....

Yeh, wobb kinda' read right over the points.

You sound like your plan is set and you'll succeed.

Was there a question? Oh right, your opps are much better in Saudi. GOOOooo Saudi! <I'm just here for the lovely mosques>

It's only "better" because of the sheer size of the land which represents several cities (+ wastelands) which translates to more options over Kuwait. Simple really.

And the savings potential (I'd also argue basic wage) still rival Kuwait overall.

On the other hand, friends/acquaintances help when living in such backwaters. If you have a solid friend (you may have said/written already) in Kuwait - I'd consider that a major sway into the kuwaiti sand over the Al-Sauds.

But (I almost forgot) professional growth? In Saudi, the desert winds don't allow much of that for Westerners. They prefer to focus on Saudi-ization (a contradiction of terms) so i've contradicted myself. In this aspect, Kuwait wins in opps, from where I'm sitting.

"Shine too bright and you'll be sent packin.' Every sign of strength and forward-thinking goes opposite to the flow and needs to be dismantled quickly, because we do not want to be used as examples for something better.")

-A Saudi "scholar" (PhD at harvard) speaking candidly about the way it is in Saudi.... 2010.

Do you really want to trade your life for numbers on a computer screen. People who make it in the Middle East could also make it somehwhere a little nicer.
