I have an upcoming interview for the public school system in Abu Dhabi. The government started a new initiative a year or two ago to hire certified teachers to teach Math, Science and English in primary schools. They also hire teachers to teach English in the public high schools.
The aim is to teach Arabic students in English where they have next to no English ability. I believe there is supposed to be 3-5 foreign teachers per school.
The contract is two years and the pay is quite generous. Between $3000-$4000 CAD per month. Single housing is included and tax free dollars. Six weeks vacation in summer and two return tickets from home country per year.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has lived or taught in Abu Dhabi. I have a friend there now who is an Engineer and he seems to like it aside from the heat.
The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.
wobble hangs somewhere near there.
Why not give him a p.m.?
He could probably tell you a lot.
Good luck PB.
When are you thinking of making your escape?
When being run out of town, get in front of the crowd and make it appear like a parade.
Ta. Not sure yet. The job is for mid August.
...another country full of Islams!...tread carefully, PB: Abu Doobies are tutu unfriendly...
...majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd...
Abu Dhabi. Land of more arabs.
