There was a story in the papers a few weeks ago about a Thai lady who had failed the Test (can't remember the details now, sorry). If you are very close to the expiry date of your settlement visa, you can apply for Further Leave to Remain in the UK in order to pass the Test - but at a cost of £445. Quite expensive to keep failing...
Yes, it certainly is.
You can take a test here, and get the answers. The pass rate is 75%. Some Brits have failed it![]()
When I have time I might have a go.
BBC - The One Show - Society and Culture: Life In The UK Test
Sur votre bicyclette, mate.
67%.

(i'll get me coat then.)
"so please show no pity as we come up from the ground, and please remember as you kill us and cut us down that time will not wash clean the bloody face of history, and someone will breathe here again and they will hate you for what you leave." m.g.
I'll send the boys round to deport you. I know where you work
81%.
I don't see why potential citizens need to know or even how they're realistically expected to know some of these things which, let's face it, we don't even all know ourselves![]()
Who cares how many miles it is from John O'Groats to Lands End and why isn't there an option in km?
