Lived in High Barnet for a few years. Really enjoyed it! Great location for escaping London when the need arises.

My old man lived in Uxbridge. Posh old area and if you like paying 3 pound a pint, its great I guess. Barnet to Uxbridge on the tube is the nightmare from hell. 34 stops, 4 changes, a waste of 2 hours.

Had a few beers in North Finchley. Nice place. I Occasionaly look at the Barnet website looking for something, no idea what. Usually when I am in a get out of Thailand mood.

North Finchley is nice and expenisve now. It never used to be though.

I feel a bit lik that bloke at Decca who declined to sign the Beatles, when I think about all the cheap properties I could have bought, rented out and subsequently sold in London.

Especially in the NW and SW parts. A mate of mine made an absolute killing do it, and retired at the ripe old age of 35. The bastard!

Yeh they dug up the bus depot and replaced it with some new age art depot and an M+S. Trendy old place now. Nice and near Totteridge where all the Arsenal and sSpurs players live. Pricey is an understatement.
