It is a great feeling though, when you have mowed the lawn, done the edges and swept the paths. Lawnmowing is one job that you get instant results and can see the difference you have made.

    I love yard work.

We are just going into autumn now and it is lovely here as well. Sunny, warm days and and the air has a stillness about it. Cooler in the mornings and evenings too.

precisely. There were many Dominican Republicans (or whatever those happy, meringue-dancing folks are called) who would gladly have worked long hours under the blazing New England sun for the pork scrapings my parents offered me...and be happy for the work!

    with you jelly.

i'm constantly defending myself against becoming obsessed with my lawn...if i'm not mowing it i'm feeding it, not feeding it i'm aerating it and so on...

even with dog it still looks good. off to the garden centre today to get some lawn sand.

    Hah!

Love our garden... we moved last year from a house with a garden the size of a stamp to something that's a bit more ... erm... entertaining and demanding... but really, nothing beats spring in your own garden

We're just getting out of our hives here in northern DK and Spring is upon us. Lawn's to be mowed before Easter break (Tuesday... woopti-doo)... there's about 500 sqm worth of grass to get busy with.... and, I'm looking forward to it

    Nice looking place Discuss.

That back yard has real potential.

    Re: One year on...

that was my sentiment a couple of years ago when we started talking about moving to a palce with more grass... no prob, I said... women's tennis pays okay, so we'll just asphalt the garden, put up a big wall, and place a racket in our daugther's hand and, violá, old age - potentially - taken care of money wise and no more grass to mow... then I can spend time with the boys on the footy ground

As it is... I love our garden... oh, and it's good exercise mowing the lawn
