Working as Divemaster

What is required for working as a Divemaster in Thailand? I have a PADI Divemaster Certificate. Or do most companies hire mostly instructors?

I knew a bloke who worked out on the rigs (under the rigs may be more apt considering his sort of job) for oil companies with operations in the Gulf of Thailand.

Divemasters 2 a penny here, very hard to get a job as a divemaster as Thais can do it cheaper and without WP. Dive centers need people who can teach and guide.
Good luck, I think you would be better getting your Instructor cert.

I know a guy who went from teacher to this line of work....didn't do it for very long though...
