    can i work in thailand?

with personal training? is there a market?

within the law is there any way of setting up a buisness with thai employees for reception etc and starting a personal training buisness

or outwith, advertising for clients independently and training them without authorities knowing

either way id just like to stay in thailand, preferably starting a legal buisness if there is a good enough market

whatever it may be, in gyms, parks/homes(with equipment supplied), nutrition and all the good stuff

basically total body transformations (within 3 months if followed)

is there a hope in hell?

I would suggest you learn the market by living here for awhile before you begin a business. This aint Kansas.

    Good point.

Ive actually lived there for about a year though not at the same time and met a few pt's that were Thai.

Im just interested in your experience as I know you are knowledgeable guys who have lives there and id appreciate tips.

In regard to making the buisness and whether you think there is a market for a farang.

    Cheers

thats what im not sure off

id hope for 50 if there is a sufficient market

as im contemplating going soon, id maybe just save up enough to try it out for 6 months and charge 25 bowls or rice per hour (with the first session free of course)

and then come back and save with more knowledge

best keep ur day job (lifting weights?)

don't c any farang trainers at CA wow ; just farang clients

generally, whatever a farang can do here , the thais (can , will) do cheaper

    that's the "new economy"

Check out some legal firms web sites and see what the legal cost of setting up a legal company/business is. I would expect is is well north of 500,000 Bt and that is if you use partly paid shares!!

Google BangkokTrainer & ActiveLifestyleBKK. Friend of mine...PT, nutrition, etc. contracts with international schools, private clients, etc.

He worked as a teacher for a couple years, put in A LOT of work to build something up. He's very well trained and credentialed to do what he does.

    Howabout you?

I've seen a few farang trainers down south. basically anywhere you have a growing population of ex-pats (and I would anticipate a wave of retiree refugees), there's a market.
