You may want to sticky the actual content thread as well, LDMA, if you're able. We wouldn't want to lose it due to an old-post deletion, and people might post replies or clarification questions there, or whatever. Plus, this thread just makes more sense when the other thread is next to it.

it's an official document, ken... to post it right there and then on a rather public and well-known website without permission is probably not the best of ideas... IMHO...

It's an official goverment document so I'd assume it's more than okay to post it here as it's knowledge we should know? I could understand if it was some kind of secret document or highly classified, but it ain't is it?

Just because the document is official and publically available does not mean you can copy it and paste/post it anywhere you like, ken. It's called copyright, and though I know they're not really big on that here in Thailand, maybe asking for permission to post it on Ajarn.com first would be a wise idea.

To be fair to D2000, in order to rely on Section 7 above, it would need to be BOTH (1) a government regulation/legislation; AND (2) be translated by a government source (such as that previously cited by MR C or from http://www.krisdika.go.th/home.jsp]
To do otherwise, for example to quote from one of the many "unofficial"/"private" translations, may cause you to fall foul of the Thai Copyright Act -the copyright breach in question being a breach of the copyright in the translated works and the type-face of the translation [for example, you couldn't just quote chapter and verse from one of the many Chandler & Thong-ek published translations (and if the name seems familiar, it is because he is the ex-husband of Nancy Chandler)].
[proviso: that you cannot make use of the "fair use" exemption, in which case you'd not be in breach of copyright (and as teachers we can make use of the "fair use" exemption)]
