Does anyone know if the immigration office behind Suvarnabhumi airport allows you to re-new non-O visas and if it is open on weekends? any input would be much appreciated.
cheers

Re: The Immigration Office Behind Suvarnabhumi

What a coincidence - I've just got back from my first visit there.

If you check out an old thread regarding non-imm 'O' retirement visas, I wan't quite sure what to do next.

My entry visa expires on 31 Aug so decided to go a week early to check in case I had to do a border run.

I have a non-imm 'O' 12 month multi entry (retirement) which was issued in Penang. When I spoke to them today, they said that all I needed was my bank book (which I had with me showing 800,000) and a letter from my bank confirming that I was a customer and that, yes, I had that amount in there (which I didn't have).

I just need to get this letter now before going back next Friday.

I believe that they handle everything that any other Immi office handles. The best thing is to go there and simply ask them.

Unlike the Lumpini mob, they're friendly, cheerful and, above all, helpful.

It's a bit of a bitch to find and the road leading to it really does test the suspension on your car but well worth it. You'll also find that they're much quicker. OK, I did have a bit of a wait due to a rather large gaggle of monks arriving before me, but generally it's very quick.

I don't know about weekend opening though, sorry.
