I got done up for that upon trying to sell my motorbike after my WP had expired. I had to show that rather than the WP at the DMV. In order to get it, my landlord and I had to go down to immi, wai, appologize and pay a fine for having let me live in his house for two years without notifying immi and filing for my residency card.

Like your proof of having an address, I think it's meant to be able to track you down should the wind be blowing the right, or wrong, way.
Plus, then the tax office has proof that the landlord is collecting taxable income.
I was in and out of there in about 7 or 8 minutes on Tuesday. One day late.
I don't really remember anything else though because I was running a high fever,
hadn't had anything to eat all day, and was running from one job to the next
without having had time to prep anything...you know, running on them fumes.

Until such time as they stamp you in for 90 days you don't really have a Visa in your passport per se....so make sure you do get your 90 days on entry mate!!!

My dad simply stamped that on my ass with his boot on the way out the door.
One of our teachers just got done for the 2 grand, he was 2 weeks over mind.
Had my non-imm B extended last week at suan plu and my thai visa assistant was told that the 90 day report needs to be done on the day or 7 days prior, but cannot now be done after the due date. Has anyone else recently been told this? I did my 90 day extension 2 weeks ago and was not told it (and I was 5 days over that time).
