Is that Ok or should I go down today? Anything wrong with being a day or
two late on this? Been here 3 years but this is the first time I've had to
do these 90 day things myself, actually. So a bit clueless. Any info? Ok to

Looking at my note:
Any alien who fails to comply with twill be punished with a fine not exceeding 5,000.-Baht and with an Additional fine not exceeding 200.-Baht for each day which passes until the low is complied with.
But then again, that's only the written policy. Who knows how Somchai will interpret it on Tuesday.
It is a roll of the dice, really. Some people get lucky with the 90-day reporting. I once went two weeks over with no penalty; however, I was also stung for 2,000 baht for being a single day late. Maybe it depends on how close the office is to payday. If your timing is off, you might find yourself donating to their coffee fund.
^^ Yep 7 days either side and although the new fine is 5,000 Baht as per above I've never heard of them charging that amount (rather 2,000 Baht) and I've also never heard of them charging the 200 Baht ting either.
I would personally argue the toss if they charged me for being a day or two late....well actually I'd have the Thai staff to speak to them (they listen to them more than us IME).

^ Aye, seven days mate. Due to my rapidly advancing senility I managed to forget to report to immigration last month and I was five weeks late. When I turned up, all apologetic, the chick that usually deals with us was very stern and told me that I would have to pay a 2,000 baht fine. She's normally lovely but I checked my passport and there was a note in there saying that there is a maximum fine of 5,000 baht for lateness. I didn't have the cash so I went out to a cash-point but when I returned the chick said that I didn't have to pay (must have been someone important hanging around the first time) but she mentioned that she was feeling rather hungry. I popped off to Big C and bought a KFC meal for 300 baht which everyone at immigration was very happy with.

^ I think it's the years of being here that have taught us there is nothing definite in Thailand....well other than the definitiveness that nothing is definite.
