I wonder if it is still possible to get the double entry tourist visa for Thailand from Laos or Cambodia since the
problems in BK on Friday ?
Shouldn't be a problem, always easier in Laos though.
Daniel Bedingfield claimed that his new album is what it would sound like if Sting, Stevie Wonder and Micheal Jackson were in a basement together - I haven't got the album so I'll have to imagine the sound of a blind bloke and a Geordie kicking the shit out of a pedophile.
I reckon that we might see the Tourist visa suspended within the next few weeks because of all the trouble.
Goodbye Double Entry Tourist Visas issued from Thai Embassies in Laos and Cambodia.
If anyone does a visa run to one of these destinations in the next week or so keep us all updated...
You asked for update. I got my double entry visa in early June 2010. I met a friend today who says he has heard that the consul in Vientiane is getting funny about issuing so many tourist visas and may prove difficult in future (I have no idea whether this is true though when I went last week I had to give details not only of where I was staying in Laos (name & address) but also the phone number - not much fun since I had gone there direct after the long bus ride there!). They won't entertain the application without it complete. It is simply because the consul wants it and anyone familiar with Thailand will know not to argue with immigration as it is always self defeating.
The end of last month I got my 3rd consecutive double entry tourist visa from Vientiene with no problems. The only difference I saw was that there seemed to be fewer applicants.
