Which language are you studying on your "non ed visa"?
Sorry for being picky, but sometimes I am amazed in "Amazing Thailand".

If you are down south then go to Penang.
If you are in the east then Cambodia.
If you are in the north / west then Laos.

Vans leave two or 3 times per week to each destination with the express purpose of taking "teachers" doing visa runs.

On average they cost about 4000 thb (including non-b visa and overnight accomodation) but not including pocket money or visa to the neighboring country (varies depending on YOUR country of originan and destination country).
