I have a friend, who is going to live with her husband for a year, in need of a housekeeper. Sadly she has been let down at the last minute.
The job will be in Bangkok, not sure the salary yet, but just putting a wheel in motion for her.
I've come here for guidance, which will be passed on to her. Is there an agency, for example?
3 kids 12-18 all capable of looking after themselves, to a degree, but the cooking and cleaning will be the main tasks, no nappy changes or get kids ready for school etc.
Thanks in advance.
I would do it if I was still in BKK. Hey wait a minute, I wouldn't be legal.
i know someone who may be interested, she has been a cook for 15 years odd in a guesthouse in BKK and Phuket and speaks pretty good english. very pleasant and her food is truly delightful. Trustworthy
Depends on the salary and hours, pls pm me with further details.

erm...................why is she only going to live with her husband for a year? Or do you mean in BKK for a year?
Sorry Jellybean, not sure what the 'erm' is for. The post is fairly self explanatory. Why she is going to live with her husband is of no concern, she needs a housekeeper and that is what I am trying to assist her with.
Further info, salary is around 5,500 a month and it's live in. It's my belief that the kids will only need fed and watered so cooking and cleaning will be the main chores.
Silverfox, I have PM'ed you.
I didnt get it either.

Too long like a rolling stone, Too long in exile
Too long in Exile, baby you just arent my friend.
Too long in Exile my friend, Baby you can never go home again.
j^The woman needs a wife! I am not in the running for that position!
Jellybean if forums have resident village idiots I will endorse your case.
Folly for me to believe a genuine post, trying to assist a friend, would be treated with a level of maturity and digress into Pattaya bar drivel.
Note my comments are not directed to the genuine responses(including Natalie's)
This is not a board for finding housekeepers!
How urgent!!!! can a person need a housekeeper!
I didn't see any Pattaya type replies here. No crudity at all.
Lets see, how urgent? She leaves the country(now possibly not) next week. The planned housekeeper called her today to tell her she couldn't do it.
erm..............snide comments fit part of the criteria I have in mind for Pattaya wasters, you had your fair share on this thread so I have attributed those comments to my view. But not to worry it is just my opinion, not one I will be changing any time soon, but just and opinion.
You're in BKK, right? How about your wife posting an ad in Thai at a supermarket or Tesco / Carrefour? The two of you could interview to make sure you get someone good. I had someone really good when I was in BKK but I no longer have her number. She was referred by a co-worker.
There are good ones out there who want to work, it's just a matter of finding the right one.
