    Thai/Foreign couples and naming of children

    It has come to my attention that of the numerous Thai/English couples with kids I know, only one of then gave their child a Thai first name, which I think is a bit unfair as they have an English surname. Where's the Thai influence? Whats wrong with Terdsak Bucket?

    Better still, give them a Thai first name and an English nickname...best of both worlds...that's what we did.
    Thai girls names are nice.
    Thai boys names are crap.

    We gave our daughter Malina a name that was neither traditionally English, or Thai, but could pass as such in either.
    English = Marina
    Thai = Malika

    We initially called her by her nickname Mali, but I couldn't get into it and she also prefers to be called by her full given name.

    I have yet to meet a leuk-krueng with any variation of "Porn" in it....

    Really...

    Seemed a bit strange for a newbie to play with names in an unflatering way. Maybe I'm just a bit touchy; we'll see.

    Get a life; I've drank more of life than you can imagine; absinthe is for babies (did it), try getting real! Why bother stirring things up on a thread? Jeez, do you think I actually give a shit? EOM!

    You're cheap and boring! Don't bother with a response; I won't reply.
