Now I realise I am getting a little ahead of myself (about 6 years) as our baby isn't even born yetbut....
At some stage we would like to move back to Thailand to live for some period of our life and don't want to live in Bangkok.
Now where we decide to live and start/buy a business will depend on access to a decent private school.
My question to you all is where are these schools? I am assuming they are in Chiang Mai and Phuket but what about Nong Khai and Hua Hin and places like that?
My 5 year old goes to a kindergarten on Soi Barring (Sri-Nakarin), it's a Bi-Lingual place, and they work wonders there. 5 years old and she speaks, reads, and writes both Lingos.
If teacher "Jason" or "Jerry" post here, you're doing a great job.
Hua Hin yes but Nong Khai no at this time. The fees for international schools and some of the bilingual which I would not recommend are quite high. Apologies to Berty. I'm happy your happy with the school. PM for specific info. I have researched this a great deal as I have twins in 3rd grade now.
Too long in Exile, too long not singing my song.
Too long like a rolling stone, Too long in exile
Too long in Exile, baby you just arent my friend.
Too long in Exile my friend, Baby you can never go home again.
In six years, Jesus and Thaksin can change places. Too soon to tell.

Wishing you luck mate. Pooying or Poochai? Or dont you know yet?
Nah no idea, thought we would leave it as a surprise although just between me and you we are both hoping for a girl.
Thanks for your kind thoughts.
If ya want an easier life wish for a girl. I got two for the price of one. Just think what a shit you were as a child and you will know why girls are better. I am surprised that my parents didnt kill me.
No really it doesnt matter what sex the kid is. You will experience the most profound change for the better in your lives.![]()
Nice piccie, MeMock.
I think most of the English language tots schools are good in Bangkok, but it becomes more difficult and more expensive as your kid gets older.
I have heard really good things about the Bangkok Prep Skool on Sukhumvit 53 from a number of different parents recently.
I think some people didnt quite read my email correctly.
I said that when we do move back to Thailand we DONT want to stay in bangkok. I love the place but I really don't think its the best place to bring up a kid. I gree up on the land where my nearest neighbours were 15kms away and i turned out all right!![]()
I know there are some good schools in bangkok but what I am interested in is out of the big smoke. I would like to know early on in the piece where there are good international schools outside of bangers so I can start getting my head around possible business ideas over the next few years.

How many international schools were there just 6 years ago. Not nearly as many as now. And so much can change in the next 6 years as well. IMHO the best now would be the Prem School in Chaing Mai, and the living is okay there as well. Get some slope land and build a nice place. Thats my plan.
Cheers aging one. You also mentioned earlier that Hua Hin had one as well. Do you know if its any good? Hua Hin has always been a favourite place of mind but stuff knows what I would do there If I ever lived there!!
Chiang Mai is also nice so you never know.
regarding a girl, I never saw myself as a shit of a kid but now thinking back I understand what you are saying!
