Planning on buying some new wheels I went to BMW and Toyota. At BMW they told me I'd probably have to wait 6-9 months to get it??? Sounds extremely long to me???![]()
Being a bit disappointed I visited Toyota, and also there for the Fortuner I'd have to wait around 3-4 months to actually get it???
So, it might be better to buy one that was confiscated by the bank that way I can get it immediately.
How long did you wait for your new car?
What's love got to do with it...........
i waited 45 minutes.
But mine was already there. you can visit other provinces and they may have them at the showroom.
You really do have to shop around.
Are you really thinking of buying a BMW made in Thailand? Wow!!![]()

I arrived in Thailand May 18. I drove my new Toyota away May 22. They had what I wanted. Would have done it sooner, but they were closed Sunday. New car dealerships here are retarded. You'd think they'd work together to give the customer what he/she wants. If the Udon branch didn't have a black Vigo, they could make a few calls and find out which dealership did. These retards compete with each other and leave it up to the customer to do the legwork.
I think I'm gonna go for a Fortuner. So it looks like I'll be car shopping the next coming months.
I noticed the prices of BMW's. Doesn't really make a difference if you buy it in Thailand or Europe, the only thing is the price tag outhere is a lot more.

In Europe you get a 325i at around 33.000 euro's. Outhere you don't even get the poor man's BMW the 318 for that price.
Yup and its made here TMW no Bavaria in it. Look at the option list. Nothing.
What would be the possibilities of importing a "real" BMW from Germany? Probably unaffordable?
Go for Fortuner, I have one...fantastic car for the price. Extremely roomly, lovely to drive and if you have any problem, there are tons of Toyota places all over the country that you can just drive in and solve your problems..
What r u going to get, diesel? And are you going to go for the new white exclusive one?

If you buy a Toyota you're putting money into the hands of one of Taskins biggest stooges..former Transport Minister Suriya Jungrungreankit.
And we know you wouldn't dare support a friend of Taksins, would u Pumpkin?
Well, there are things you cannot avoide...I cannot afford to buy BMW and for what I need Toyota and this particular model is the best. It's good to be idealistic but at the same time I have to live within budget.
Pumpkin made the right choice.
You can buy any model of BMW on the gray market. The cost is up usually by over a half a million.
Really dont do it here. But go look at one. I did 7 years ago. " Well you will have to replace the seats" was the first thing I heard. At that time 1.8 million for a 3 series and the first thing I have to do is change the seats!!

Since most have been telling me great stories about Fortuner, I guess that's what it's gonna be.
I want all the bells and whistles on it though. Thanks for the advice all. The price comes up to 1.200.000 Bht including options. Which is a lot cheaper then BMW and after giving it some thought I came to the conclusion that it might not be such a great idea to get German wheels in Thailand.
You will be getting the diesel model wont you?
There's a poster on here, 'Berty', who has/d a white 3 month old Fortuner for sale very recently. I think he wanted only 1.05 million for it. Look him up and send him a PM. Alternatively, he also has a website www.expatmotors.com I think and it might be on there. The last pickup I bought, a black 4x4 4dr Vigo took me a month to get incidently.
