    DTAC "check balance" number?

Pretty mundane question, but I just can't find it on the web. Recently had to replace my cell phone. On my old phone there was a 'check balance' number already in the phone book. Anyone know the number to call to check your remaining balance. It's DTAC service, Nokia phone.
    Thanks, DP

    Re: DTAC "check balance" number?

Thanks for responding, but neither # work for me.

*121# -- this returns message, 'telephone type must be post paid' which seems nonsensical to me
*1000 -- this takes me to the 'topping up' service, where you enter the number of the card you purchased at 7-Eleven or elsewhere

On my old phone, I could dial a number (was already in my phone book), and in a few seconds it would dsiplay my current balance on the screen. ???

    I've got a nokia, but personally I don't think it's the phone. In my phone book it's *101# .

No, you have a choice of topping up (press 2) or check balance (press 1).

    Try it again.

On my phone it's *1001. It was in my contacts already. Works every time for me.

So, do you pay before you use the phone?

Don't you just get a bill at the end of the month for your useage?

No JB, that would be prepaid, as in pay-as-you talk.
