Driving License Extension
I have both car license (for 5 years) and bike license which is due for extension.
do I need a letter from my embassy again.
What do i need exactly?

Those that want to read whatever they can want all freedoms, but have to understand they can have freedom, but it must be within the law.
When I did my renewal didn't need anything apart from my old license.
Do you have a work permit? When I first got mine I didn't need letter from my embassy just used the work permit.
no, only a non imm o extension. i have my car license though which is valid for another 4 years.
I would say give it a go and try with just the old one, then if you have to go and get the letter.
I just renewed mine 2 weeks ago. I needed my passport, work permit, a new medical certificate, and my expiring license. No hassle except for the queuing.

No need to waste your time or money getting a letter from the British Embassy mate, just go to Immigration. It's free and they'll do it while you wait.

Just had my license renewed a few months ago (motorcycle and car). There is no need to go to the embassy. Just go to the local immigration office and fill out the residency form and have it stamped and approved, which takes about an hour. Take that to the DMV with photos, passport, and work permit and fees. (I can't remember the cost per license). There was no retesting done either.
