Re: Air Asia Are Shit - Nok Rock!

Here's how shit I think Air Asia are....I would sooner get a nok Air flight to Don Muang, and get a taxi all the way across town to get to Suwannabhumi, than suffer Air DelAysia's shit service.

Very good point about the luguage Stretch...15kg is very shit when there's a connecting flight to be had.

I believe all the complaints, and I reckon they're infamous for delays, but at the same time I've used them for years and never had a problem.

Re: Air Asia Are Shit - Nok Rock!

Wife and son had to go to hospital in BKK last week.
Air Asia PKT delayed 3 hours.
Coming back, all told flight delayed, but it was not. arai wa?
400 baht to Suk 8 by the taxi.

Next time, Thai Air... not worth the savings for all the fecking agravation.

Re: Air Asia Are Shit - Nok Rock!

Spare a pray for me - I'm flying outta Xiamen, China on Friday night, courtesy of Air Asia. The Chinese are the ultimate champs of pushing, shoving and line jumping - which is just what you need to do boarding an Air Asia flight.

But I've been catching the buses here for some months - them fookers gonna get some firm loving, erm, shoving on Friday night.

Best thing is, they respond well to aggressive behaviour - the harder you shove the meeker they become.

Good luck with that..if they are anything like the Koreans, you better push real hard.

I agree with a lot of points about the con's of flying with Air Asia. They have been late a few times when I've flown with them, within Thailand. First come, first serve, seating is a bummer if you get on the plane last. The luggage allowance is nothing, and the choice of food available on the menu is crap, as in not much to choose from.

The good thing I like about Air Asia is that it is cheap (really cheap if you fly early in the morning), and easy to book anytime. You can easily book online with a credit card, and it flies to alot of places in SEAsia. I'll be using them again, to fly to PP. If it comes a point where I get totally annoyed, then I'll change carriers.

I posted about AA once, shit company! I was some 20 kilo baggage over-weight. With what they charged me I could have bought a seat for my suitcase.

Not anymore. They have alot of good specials. I got my flight to DM for 1,515 baht before tax and 2,200 after tax. You get an assigned seat and the planes are clean. They hand out snacks and come around at least twice to give you free coffee, tea, water, or any other drinks.

Re: Air Asia Are Shit - Nok Rock!

I'm surprised about the kids LDMA. The last few times I flew with AA and the kids we were allowed to jump to the front of the line just before boarding.

Nope and they were quite rude about it when my wife asked if we could go on first....they basically told us to buy express boarding if we wanted to do that.

And the boarding express passes have only come into play in the last year or so as I recall.

Yeah thats true, I don't think I have flown with them since that came in. Have gone Thai instead simply because they had better times that suited us (but way more expensive)

Now that my eldest is over 2, I wonder what would happen if the plan was full and we got on last.

2 seats left at opposite ends of the plane. No way am I letting my daughter sit by herself, besides she too young to even do up her seatbelt. I wonder what kind of reaction I would get!

Re: Air Asia Are Shit - Nok Rock!

I have used Air Asia flying from Bangkok to Macau and back a few times. They're ususally about 25% of the price of Bangkok Airways flying Bangkok to Hong Kong.
I'll admit there's nothing fun about travelling on Air Asia, but it's only 2 and a half hours, you just have to stick it out.

Think about it, the flights are dirt cheap - they have to cut back on something. Which is better, cutting back on service or cutting back on safety?

As for the pushing and shoving to get on the plane. I guess the best way is just to not get involved, be the last in the queue to board the plane and just sit back and watch everyone else getting stressed out thinking they may not get a seat on a plane which is only half full anyway.
