Need a room for one month near the BTS

The thread subject says most of what needs said. I just spent an hour calling two star hotels and asking for mothly rates, and getting transferred to rooms and getting quoted daily rates, etc etc, so I need some help on this one. The place I was planning to stay is full.

Near the BTS is good, Silom line is fine and dandy. Has to be less than 8,000B for the month long stay. No bullshit about bringing my Thai girlfriend upstairs.

Any help? After the last two days of lugging around and calling jerks I'm about ready to give up and rent some Thai style non-aircon hovel and give the 2,600B worth of deposit up.

You'll get a room here (actually 2 rooms, lounge and bedroom plus a bathroom, 50 square metres) for 8000 for the month. He (S.African manager) asks 9000 but has about 10% occupancy. Five minutes from the subway.

Beggars can't be chosers. 1/2 the population of BKK wants a cheap apartment next to the BTS, hence they aren't cheap any more! (especially 1 month lets)

BTS, MRTA, same same, you won't get 50 sq metres anywhere near the BTS for that money.

I stayed at this place for a few months. Nice clean a quick walk to Surasak Station, but actually a quiet neighborhood for around 8,000 baht. Has TV with limited cable a King size bed, and they don't care who you share it with.

Decent place in Suk 97 - "Hotel Romance" - only short walk (10-15 mins) from BTS. Daily rate 500 baht (I think 5000 for month). They are new rooms with TV and Air-con, cleaned daily.

This has long been my "Romance Hotel" as it were!!

My mate's got a nice place near Moechit BTS, I'll see if I can get the name from him later today. 5K with most mod cons and ethernet for 400 Baht a month.

Krongthong mansion, 0-2617-5830 0-2167-7788. All rooms same rate 5,600 with the sting of another 1000bht for fridge and t.v......receptionist on phone speaks passable english......not sure if one of these numbers is a fax,so ur have to check o.k mate

Cheers for the info, but have a go you never know, I've managed to sway the odd one!
