    EMS International

Has anyone sent anything back home via EMS International?

Is it reliable? How long does it take? Is it expensive?

    Any help please.

I've sent important documents using EMS. Post Office personnel will tell you 3-5 days for delivery, but I've never had anything arrive that fast...8-10 days for east coast US is more the norm.

I like the EMS tracking site: easy to follow the progress of your item.

    Re: EMS International

I've used EMS twice to send documents back to the UK. The first time they arrived in 4 days. Second time they were delayed and it took over a week.

Think it cost me about 1500 baht. Bear in mind the envelope weighed less than 500 grams so it would be very pricey for a few kg's i would imagine.

    Re: EMS International

I've been luckier than the previous two posters. Each time I've sent documents to the UK, they have arrived within a week. I've also sent letters by regular mail that have arrived within a week, so I guess it depends how important your documents are.

    Re: EMS International

No problems here. Wife sent me some 1 to 4 kg boxes and they arrived within a week. Postalforce takes over the delivery and they assign their own tracking number once it arrives. Very efficient.

    Ok. Job done.

I just sent a small parcel weighing 450 grams to England by EMS International. It cost 850 baht.

The girl said it would take 3-4 days. That makes Thursday or Friday.

    Let's see!!!
