I brought my nice HH sideringer boots back with me the last time I visited the US and they are really taking a beating in the heat here. I have some Saddle Soap but that is more for cleaning that feeding the drying, hungry leather. I need some sort of oil that the leather can soak up and make them supple again. I've looked in Tesco and some other places here and there but haven't had any luck so far. Can anyone recommend a brand or a place that is serious about leather shoes / boots where I might have a look for something?
I think a bit of mink oil would do the trick, surely you can find that in Thailand?
TIA as usual!!

I've seen a pretty good selection of shoe care products at the department stores at The Mall. I'm sure Central would have the same thing.
There are a few boot-maker shops around. One in particular I can remember is near the BTS Sala Daeng Station.
...you get what you need.

Try Dubbin. I used it in the army:

Best bets gotta be one of those shops that sell hiking, gear, tents and all that sort of stuff. If not, definitely the sports dept in the larger stores eg. Central. Even if they ain't got what you want they should be able to tell you where.
Might be difficult to find.
I've had the same problem with the three leather cowboy vest I brought over with me.
Looked for ages and was finally told they don't have anything for that, possibly found only in a speciality shop in Bangkok.
Mind you, shoes a bit of a different story.
Good luck

Get into hot water wearing them and press forwards n back, that is the best way.
Daniel Bedingfield claimed that his new album is what it would sound like if Sting, Stevie Wonder and Micheal Jackson were in a basement together - I haven't got the album so I'll have to imagine the sound of a blind bloke and a Geordie kicking the shit out of a pedophile.
Actually saddle soap does stop drying and cracking. Thats the whole reason to use it on saddles; it's also a cleaner. I used it on my leather seats in my P-1800 Volvo. Nary a crack in 3 years. Apply every few days. Mink oil will work, but the boots will stretch out.
LOL; you actually wear them here in LOS.![]()

Yea I want them to stretch out a bit and get more supple. They've hardened up and shrunk a bit in the heat here so some oil would allow the leather to loosen up a bit. Right now I can't really get my feet into them without a lot of discomfort.
I definitely wear them here is LOS or anywhere in the world. A good pair of boots is essential gear for
Good call, will keep an eye out.
