^ I miss my Missions
"Take this, brother; may it serve you well."
O Mio Babbino CaroWhy choose? Play both...
---Update---
It was a close call when I bought them - between Tannoy, Mission and Bowers.
It cost me 15k to get my suitcase from Don Muang all those years ago :-s
~The beginning is the word and the end is silence.
And in between are all the stories. This is one of mine~
^ I don't think mine were worth that, Ben. Mission 730s? Something like that. From Richer Sounds at Swiss Cottage. (Speaker stands as well. And yes, I filled the stands with sand.)
Sounded grand they did.
Sand in the stand sounded grand, for the brand.
Nice.
Mine weren't worth that either - I think I paid 200 quid for them but DAMN that's the best 200 I ever spent. The 15k at the airport (74 baht to the pound at that time) was more than they were worth, but I was worried I couldn't replace them. I saw some in a shop here about one year later, and they were well overpriced.
The Mission 730's are a bit older I think - older Missions were warmer sounding - better than some of the later dry sounding boxes they came up with later in my opinion.
Why don't you go shopping again?
hated my Klipsch while i had 'em, miss 'em now.
wanted Ohms, they don't ship. gonna give a listen to Norh. local brand, good reviews, handcrafted and boutiquey. this, of course, will require some cash, so either a) better job, or b) my extracurricular activities will have to extend beyond Football Manager 2011.
---Update---
i need a loudspeaker that can handle John Coltane, Chopin, Ween and big dumb action movies. it has to be cheap too coz i'll need 7 of 'em and i'm paid like a TEFLer. big ****in' ask.
Take me down to the paranormal city where the girls are green and they have three titties...
Oh, won't you please take me home?
I don't know....I just don't know anymore....
